Annual GNCCT Investment Forum: Strengthening Investments between Nigeria and Greece
The Hellenic-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Embassy of Nigeria in Athens, is organizing the annual Investment Forum on November 30, 2021, at the Kastri Domotel Hotel in Athens.
The forum, themed “Strengthening Investments between Nigeria and Greece,” will showcase the investment background and prospects of the Nigerian economy, as well as the sectors prioritized by the Nigerian government. Key industry stakeholders, including policymakers, government representatives from Nigeria, potential investors, experts, and decision-makers, will participate in the forum.
The two-day event will feature interactions with private and public sector entities and presentations by Nigerian government representatives on the country’s development priorities and ongoing projects. Discussions will focus on sectors with significant opportunities, such as agriculture and aquaculture, ports and terminals, education, housing and construction, and the circular economy.
The President of the Hellenic-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Michalis H. Oikonomakis, stated: “During a period characterized by growth potential for both countries, the forum is a great opportunity for business entities in Greece and Nigeria to enhance their cooperation and identify new opportunities for synergies.”
The Nigerian Ambassador to Greece, Opunimi Akinkugbe, noted: “I am very pleased, as given the level of interest, this forum constitutes an important and dynamic platform that can lead to the emergence of opportunities. We are excited that this marks the beginning of a new era in Greece-Nigeria cooperation. Nigeria, the largest economy in Africa, is one of the continent’s most attractive investment destinations, and we look forward to welcoming interested parties to Athens and online from around the world.”
